Présente des oscules bien visibles régulièrement espacés le long des rameaux. Polymorphe selon son milieu, elle peut être collée au substrat ou buissonnante. En générale grise mais parfois orangée.

Possible confusions

Selon sa forme, confusion possible avec les autres Haliclona mais sa dureté et la disposition des oscules feront la différence.

Biotope / Habitat

Sur substrat dur de 5 à 30 m. Tolérante au courant.

Distribution

Très commune en Bretagne, plus rare en Méditerranée.
