Nemertesia antennina (Linnaeus, 1758)

Touffe dense de tiges raides (50 au maximum) non ramifiées de 25 cm de haut. Chaque tige, de couleur, jaune pâle à orange, est une colonie couverte sur toute la longueur de fins rameaux de couleur blanchâtre portant les polypes. Gonothèques ovoïdes jaune fixées à l'axe principal.

Possible confusions

La némertesie ramifiée Nemertesia ramosa, d'aspect semblable, est plus petite (hauteur maximum 15 cm) et présente des tiges irrégulièrement ramifiées.

Biotope / Habitat

Milieux rocheux et milieux sableux dans lesquels la colonie se fixe aux cailloutis ou aux coquilles. Etage infralittoral et circalittoral.

Atlantique NE et NO, Manche, Mer du Nord, Méditerranée
