Idotée étique

Synischia hectica (Pallas, 1772)

L'idotée étique est de grande taille, pouvant atteindre 3 cm. Le corps segmenté est très fin, il est long avec une courbure à convexité postérieure. Corps couvert de petits points blancs de couleur verte ou beige suivant le substrat, car elle a la capacité à imiter la couleur du substrat où elle se trouve, généralement des feuilles de posidonie. La tête comporte latéralement deux yeux à facettes et à l'avant deux paires d'antennules. Le telson possède une échancrure discrète.

Possible confusions

Idotea granulosa : Couleur rouge, verte ou brune Idotea metallica : extrémité postérieure tronquée Idotea balthica: telson à 3 pointes Idotea pelagica : court et trapu Idotea emarginata : telson échancré Idotea linearis : couleur plutot marron. Stenosoma appendiculatum : la plus ressemblante, bords des segments très marqués
