Greek bathing sponge

Taille : 30 à 40cm de diamètre Couleur : noir à grisâtre Aspect : forme globuleuse, parfois en plusieurs lobes, oscules inégalement répartis mais de grande taille et surélevés (plus clairs au bord), conules sur toute la surface (aspect chair de poule)

Ircinie sombre Ircinia oros : oscules bordés de noir, éponge moins grosse et plus ronde Eponge cornée noire Scalarispongia scalaris : oscules plus petits, non bordés de clair, éponge plus grande Ircinie noire épineuse Sarcotragus spinosulus : oscules plus petits Eponge fétide Sarcotragus foetidus : surface irrégulière, souvent recouverte d'épibiontes
