Cnidaire en forme de buisson de taille et d'arborescence variables. Sert très souvent de gite aux flabellines diverses qui pondent et vivent dessus. Les polypes sont visibles avec une petite loupe. Tiges souples qui ne craignent pas le courant ou la houle. De 5 à 25 cm de haut.

Possible confusions

Il y a de nombreuses espèces semblables du genre Eudendrium. Identification d'espèce très difficile, réservée aux spécialistes.

Biotope / Habitat

Sur des substrats durs : roches, coquillages, épaves... Visible de 5 à 100 m de profondeur.
