Pelagia noctiluca (Forsskål, 1775)

Méduse en forme de champignon translucide avec des points roses ou violets. Elle a 4 bras et 8 très longes tentacules blanchâtres (50 cm) très urticants aussi même s'ils sont séparés de la méduse. Elle peut être de petite taille et atteindre 10 cm de diamètre. Parfois très abondante proche de la surface.
