Nudibranche de corps ovalaire, de grande taille jusqu'à 18 cm maximum, mais de taille généralement de 9 à 10 cm.
De couleur blanche à brunâtre, avec des points ou des taches diffuses. Les bords du manteau sont striés de lignes transversales bien visibles.
