Forme : polype ovale et cylindrique, en forme de dent avec une dépression au sommet (bouche), tentacules courts, transparents, possédant des boutons terminaux, tentacules souvent repliés dans le bourrelet de la paroi externe, sommet du polype avec des cloisons (septes) bien visibles se rejoignant au niveau de la bouche ovale
