Gorgone légèrement ramifiée, les colonies sont disposées sur un seul plan.Les polypes sont de taille assez importante. Peut atteindre une hauteur de 30 cm.

Biotope / Habitat

Fonds rocheux et peu éclairés, jusqu'à 30 m. Affectionne les entrées de grottes.

Distribution

Atlantique, des côtes de l'Afrique de l'Ouest jusqu'au Portugal. Méditerranée occidentale (Mer d'Alboran)
