Colonie de vers annelés dans des tubes calcaires blancs Taille : chaque ver fait 4mm de long sur 0,4mm de diamètre, la colonie peut atteindre 30 cm de diamètre Aspect : forme de boule blanche hirsute, aspect plumeux quand les panaches des vers sont sortis, on peut observer une couleur rougeâtre à la base du panache qui se divise en 2 parties

Possible confusions

Imposible à distinguer de Filigrana tricoté (Filograna implexa)

Biotope / Habitat

Fonds rocheux, coralligène, zones abritées, développement sur d'autres animaux (épibionte) sur les gorgones par exemple Zone 5 m à 600 m de profondeur.On la localise dans des endroits abrités ,des grottes.

Species status description

Colonies très fragiles facilement cassables, ne pas toucher.
