Possible confusions

La serpule : possède un opercule. La sabelle : panache non en forme de fer à cheval.

Biotope / Habitat

Sur substrat suffisamment solide pour se fixer , profondeur de quelques mètres à plus de 100 m

Distribution

Méditerranée, Atlantique N-E et Manche occidentale.
