Carangue de taille variable pouvant atteindre 30kg. Le corps est ovale de couleur gris argenté avec des reflets jaunes. Les nageoires pectorales sont jaunes et effilées. La nageoire caudale est échancrée et son attache au corps est très étroite. Petite tâche noire au bord de l'opercule, museau pointu.
