Taille : maximum de 11cm Couleur : grise ou brune sur le dos, partie inférieure blanche, petits points bleus sur tout le corps mais localisés surtout sur la tête, le ventre et les flancs. Corps : en forme de ballon de rugby, une ligne sombre de l'oeil à la caudale Nageoires : transparentes Tête : les yeux jaunes sont placés au sommet de la tête Danger : ce poisson contient une toxine la tétrodotoxine.
