Aspect : éponge encroutante à bords irréguliers, cratères inégalement répartis contenant les pores inhalants (ostioles), pores exhalants (oscules) peu nombreux et difficiles à différencier des cratères, réseau de canaux visibles par transparence
Sciaphile (aime l'obscurité)
Aide pour l'observation : elle est souvent épibionte sur d'autres éponges, elle est discrète, si vous faites de la photo vous devriez déjà l'avoir prise en photo sans vous en apercevoir, ouvrez l'oeil !
