Possible confusions
Il ressemble beaucoup au poisson-papillon raton laveur Chaetodon lunula que l'on trouve dans l'Océan Indien, Pacifique tropical Ouest et centre. Ce dernier a une tâche noire sur le pédoncule caudale.
