Cette ophiure de couleur rose orangé se caractérise par une taille maximale de 27 cm. Le disque central est rond et petit en forme de pentagone. Les cinq bras sont longs, fins et souples. Ils sont couverts de très fins piquants longs et translucides.

Biotope / Habitat

Sur fonds rocheux ou coralliens, sableux, vaseux et détritique. sur des profondeurs de 5 à 35 m.
