Nudibranche éolidien de grande taille mais n'excédant pas 70 mm. Le corps est translucide. Les cérates sont longs et orange avec les extrémités des pointes rouges. La tête est marquée d'une ligne blanche centrale. Les rhinophores orange sont également annelés

Possible confusions

Coryphelle argentée Flabellina lineata : plus petit et les palpes buccaux et les rhinophores sont de même longueur. Godiva quadricolore Godiva quadricolor : les cérates sont de plusieurs couleurs possible.

Biotope / Habitat

On la trouve sur les fonds rocheux proche de la surface jusqu'à une quarantaine de profondeur. Souvent proche d'hydraires dont elle se repait.
