Sa nageoire caudale est arrondie.
La totalité du corps et de ses nageoires est recouvert de taches blanches à bleues à l'âge adulte.
Des barres sombres verticales sur le corps peuvent être visibles.
Sa couleur est marron clair à marron foncé.
