Possible confusions
Le doris pyjama (Chromodoris quadricolor) possède un liseré blanc sur le bord externe du manteau. Le doris africain (Chromodoris africana) possède trois bandes noires continues sur le dos.

Doris mesurant jusqu'à 4 cm de long au maximum. Le bord du manteau est orange, la partie centrale est bleu pâle avec des lignes longitudinales noires pouvant être discontinues. Présence de taches noires pâles/translucides derrière les rhinophores, une sur le dos en position centrale et une en avant du panache branchiale. Les rhinophores et le panache branchial sont orange.
