Corps : oval comprimé latéralement
Couleur : tête et corps noirs, le pédoncule caudal et la caudale sont blancs. La séparation des couleurs est franche et débute aux derniers rayons de la dorsale
Yeux : de bonne taille, très près de la bouche, ils sont cerclés de bleu
Nageoires : sont suivant la lumière parfois bordées de bleu. La caudale est fourchue
Bouche : petite inclinée vers le haut
