Reproduction sexuée, sexes séparés. Après la fécondation au printemps la femelle dépose ses oeufs enfermés dans une enveloppe de forme géométrique de couleur jaunâtre sur des substrats durs. L'éclosion se fera trois à quatre mois plus tard donnant naissance à de jeunes individus.
