- carapace triangulaire (plus longue que large)
- deux petits yeux rouges
- cornes du rostre petites et écartées
- deux paires d'antennes et cinq paires de très longues pattes articulées (2 fois la largeur du corps) et striées (bandes claires bien visibles)
- dimorphisme sexuel : les premières pattes transformées en pinces sont plus grosses chez le mâle que chez la femelle
