Petite crevette nettoyeuse qui vit près des anémones :
- Corps de couleur orangé-brun,
- Antennes courtes et rayées,
- Trois taches blanches nacrées en forme de selle sur le dessus et dont le contour est brun-violet,
- Points blancs sur les côtés et sur la queue.
Son abdomen est toujours surélevé, presque à la verticale par rapport au céphalothorax.
Dimorphisme sexuel : la femelle est presque deux fois plus grande que le mâle.
