Les femelles pondent des oeufs enfermés dans des sacs chitineux jaunâtres ou blanchâtres. Il y a des centaines d'oeufs par sac. Les sacs vides observés en laisses de mer ressemblent à du plastique-bulles. Souvent les femelles se regroupent pour pondre.
