AnimalsClearly visible spiral shell not covered by the mantle

- Coquillage mesurant jusqu'à 7 cm - Coquilles vides souvent trouvées échouées sur les plages (Estran) - Coquillage à l'allure bulbeuse et arrondie - On peut difficilement dénombrer sept spires dont chacune présente à sa surface des ondulations - La première spire présente un bourrelet aplati à l'extérieur et arrondi à l'intérieur avec des côtes.

Biotope / Habitat

-Milieu benthique profond (rarement dans l'infralittoral)

Distribution

Cette espèce est présente le long des côtes de la Charente-Maritime et de la Gironde ainsi qu'en Méditerranée.
