- Limace de mer pouvant atteindre la taille de 20 mm - Le corps est blanc translucide (le dos est visible). Le pied est large et arrondi en avant. - Les cérates sont légèrement gonflés. La glande digestive de couleur rose orangé est bien visible par transparence. La pointe des cérates forme un anneau blanc. - Les rhinophores sont lisses de couleur blanche ou orangée. Les tentacules labiaux sont blancs.

Possible confusions

Risque de confusion avec la cuthona naine Cuthona nana qui vit préférentiellement sur les hydractinies hérissées Hydractinia echinata.

Biotope / Habitat

- Animal vivant au milieu ou au pied des tubulaires dans l'infralittoral entre 0 et 30 mètres de profondeur

Distribution

- Animal présent, en Atlantique Nord est, dans le golfe de Gascogne jusqu'à la Norvège ainsi que sur les côtes nord des États-Unis et du Canada
