Castagnole

Chromis chromis (Linnaeus, 1758)

AnimalsDemoiselles, castagnoles, sergeant fish...

Petit poissons de 10 cm maximum, de forme arrondie, gris-noir bordé de bleu à la queue en V fourchue très caractéristique. Ne s'éloigne jamais du fond, nage autant avec ses nageoires pectorales que la caudale. Vit souvent en banc mais le mâle garde la ponte collée sur un rocher bien propre et est très agressif durant cette période. Le bébé est bleu fluo et reste prés de cavités de 5 à 15 m de fond dans lesquelles il se réfugie.

Biotope / Habitat

Littoral entre 5 et 25 m. Quant un herbier est proche, utilise les caches qu'il offre
