Remarkable
Amphibien semi-aquatique de taille moyenne à grande, elle présente une coloration variable allant du vert vif au brun olive, souvent marquée de taches sombres et parfois d'une ligne claire le long du dos. Bonne nageuse, elle se nourrit surtout d'insectes et d'autres petits invertébrés. Son chant sonore, émis surtout au printemps, est caractéristique des milieux aquatiques qu'elle occupe.
