Taille : jusqu'à 15cm Algue rouge vif, port dressé La fronde se compose d'axes plats, très ramifiés, qui se terminent par une ramule portant 3 à 4 expansions lui donnant la forme d'un petit peigne.

Possible confusions

Sphérocoque (Sphaerococcus coronopifolius) qui n'a pas les extrémités en forme de peigne

Milieux faiblement éclairés, sous les surplombs et tombants Épiphyte sur les tiges de Laminaria hyperborea et autres algues
