AnimalsRounded shell in the shape of a Chinese hat or flattened: barnacles, limpets, fissurella, abalone, crepidula, etc.
Petite patelle à la coquille conique décentrée :
- Taille jusqu'à 40 mm pour 10 mm de haut,
- Coquille finement striées (20 à 30 crêtes rayonnantes),
- Trou en forme de serrure situé à l'apex (au sommet de la coquille) caractéristique de l'espèce,
- Couleur variable : grise, blanchâtre, jaunâtre, brune, verte ou violette,
- Absence d'opercule.
