Corps relativement arrondi, de couleur variable, brune à brun-vert tacheté de noir, pouvant atteindre 3 cm : - Extrémité des pinces de couleur noire, - Carapace à l'aspect bosselée, - Ressemble à un petit tourteau.

Biotope / Habitat

depuis l'estran rocheux, à l'abri des pierres et jusqu'à 40 m de profondeur.

Distribution

Atlantique NE et NO, Méditerranée occidentale, Océan Indien et pacifique Ouest.
