Méduse peu urticante, elle est sans danger pour l'homme. Taille : jusqu'à 40cm Ombrelle beige jaunâtre avec au milieu une partie plus orangée lui donnant une vraie ressemblance avec un oeuf au plat. Les tentacules sont nombreux et courts avec les extrémités violettes, bleues ou blanchâtres, on peut y observer des petits poissons comme les chinchards (associations)
