Carapace plus large que longue de couleur verte :
- Taille de six centimètres de longueur et huit de largeur
- Cinq dents latérales pointues et trois dents arrondies entre les yeux
- Pattes longues et effilées (la dernière paire est légèrement aplatie)
- Carapace généralement de couleur verte, mais peut être aussi rouge, orangée ou grise (la face ventrale est plus claire que la face dorsale).
L'espèce présente un dimorphisme sexuel (femelle plus grosse que le mâle)

Ce crustacé cirripède, fréquent sur C. maenasse, se présente sous la forme d'un sac orangé sur l'abdomen des individus qu'il parasite. Il empêche la mue et la reproduction.
